New Beginnings, along with The Maine Department of Education are excited to announce that we are working in collaboration with Katherine McLaughlin to present a FREE 2 day training on Youth and Developmental Disabilities and Sexual Health!

People with disabilities are often excluded in education around sexual health. They too need information and skills for making healthy decisions; and lack of information about sexual health puts them at extremely high risk for becoming victims of sexual abuse or assault.

This training will give participants the tools, skills and practice needed to teach sexual health classes to developmentally disabled people with an emphasis on teens and young adults.
