Abortion care remains legal in Maine. You can access medication abortion at all 18 of our health centers, and via telehealth. You can access an in-clinic abortion procedure at our Augusta health center up to 14 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period.
Gender affirming care is still legal in the State of Maine. We will continue providing this care at our Lewiston, Norway, Belfast, Fort Kent, Presque Isle, Thomaston, and Bangor health centers. Mainers aged 16 & up can access gender affirming care, including hormone replacement therapy with or without a parent’s permission. We will do everything we can to ensure that all Mainers can continue to access vital, lifesaving healthcare, no matter where they live or how much money they make.
