That’s why we stand with our allies in supporting LD 820, An Act To Prevent Discrimination in Public and Private Insurance Coverage for Pregnant Women in Maine. This proposed bill would require that if a Mainer’s insurance covers prenatal care, it must also cover abortion care. This would eliminate the current two-tier system of access and move Maine closer to being a state where reproductive freedom is truly a reality for everyone.
